PANC-AI is an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered medical imaging analysis software. It serves as a computer-assisted detection tool designed to assist medical professionals in real-time pancreas detection and identification, including cystic pancreatic neoplasms and solid pancreatic tumours thus allowing direct visualisation and targeting during endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) imaging. The software is intended for use with available EUS systems and displays in real-time both the original EUS image and the AI-enhanced EUS image with delineation (segmentation) of normal pancreas and target lesions (both cystic neoplasms and solid tumors).

Medical Softverse (MSV) is a start-up created in 2022 in Romania, with a clear mission in mind: to revolutionise the field of healthcare diagnostics, particularly in the context of pancreatic cancer detection. Our journey began with a start-up grant received from Orlando Health Hospital, Florida, USA that brought together experts from various domains, including AI, medical research, and software development. This cutting-edge technology was refined through rigorous testing in the hospital during an IRB study, and collaboration with medical professionals, leading to the creation of a prototype that showcased its potential to significantly impact the healthcare industry.

As we progressed, we recognised the pressing need for accurate and minimally invasive diagnostics in pancreatic cancer, a disease with far-reaching implications for patients and healthcare systems worldwide. This realisation fuelled our determination to transform our prototype into a market-ready solution that could benefit patients, healthcare providers, and society at large.
